San was arrested and put in prison for three years because the art center where he was studying created the poster for the U Thant crisis where several other university students were jailed for political dissidence in Yangon, Myanmar.

Danu Trails are a network of trails in the Danu Region beginning from Ywangan, Southern Shan State in Myanmar. One day ride along a 15km loop, Max elevation: 1325m / Min elevation: 1153 m.
This is the easiest of three full day trails from Ywangan. The 15km trail offers a good mix of cultural and natural experiences, passing through several Danu villages and stopping at picturesque monasteries.

This is a very useful list of eye clinics in Mandalay if you are going to travel in northern Myanmar. They can replace prescription glasses, remove debris from your eye if something gets in while on a motorbike or open air bus and have the essentials for saline solution and a small range of disposable contact lenses.

This is a quick look at ares you can find that are a bit off the beaten track that will be expanded to be hop off points to these new areas planned in Japan's Tourism Master Plan. Indawgyi Lake Myanmar's Second Largest Wetlands Ecosystem, few people visit compared to other tourist draws in the country. The ecosystem covers 215 square miles, including a 100sqmi lake and surrounding forest. You start in Mohnyin then by car to Longlone. You can fly to Myitkyina and find your way to Hopan as well to access the nature reserve.
Thickly covered temperate and semi-evergreen forests cover the area along with Shwe Myitsu Pagoda over the lakes waters. Get there fast as this is included in the Japanese Master Tourism Plan for development.

Chin State is the least developed area in Myanmar. Dirt roads and steep valleys lead to Mt.
