The Government of Myanmar seeks to encourage participation of foreign and local investors who have the knowledge to develop the country’s mineral industry.
The Ministry of Mines is the Government entity responsible for implementing the Government’s mineral policy and enforcing laws and regulations related to the mining sector. The Ministry evaluates and processes all license applications for prospecting and production of minerals.
