With the intensification of the Grand Solar Minimum, jet streams are moving to new positions across the planet and breaking off into pockets of cold moving far south.

In the USA S.W desert regions massive snows blanket cactus and in Europe heavy snows on the beaches of Italy and Greece along the Mediterranean.

Recently we've seen a break in the jet streams. Observers show that warmer air is being pushed north, while cooler pockets of air break off and are being pulled south. This can be seen across the Northern Hemisphere at the moment.

The tally of record cold temperatures is focused in Arizona and desert south west, due to the intense snowfall.

Images of cacti covered in snow, which is not normal, circulating around the internet. SOTT.net pfeatured extraordinarily huge stretches of the American deserts blanketed in snow. Grand Canyon temperatures are dropping below freezing, but the highlight is still on the snow covered cacti and rare winter storm.

Usually, when you're seeing these types of cacti images, you’d always think of an incredibly hot desert area, where people are crawling on their hands and knees looking for the last drop of water.

Now, they don’t have to go very far, they’ll just have to wait for the melt off. But then again, this seems like a heavy wet snow.

Let’s take a journey across the snow-covered desert. Do you recognize any of these plants? These are some tropical varieties or desert varieties that don't really grow well in snow.

Similarly, California had massive rains last year and the deserts bloomed. This was so widespread and colorful that it was visible from space. This runoff in springtime becomes moisture held into the soil. Expect more wildfires because there will be more grass.

We are also starting to see the same type of weather patterns we saw last year with the extreme late onset of winter with early cold in the 2018 autumn then a flip to warmer than average temps heading into winter, which made the corporate media claim that it was Global Warming in December. That ended in January 2019 with well below normal readings across N. America and should extend well into springtime, which would in turn delay the planting season. We're going to have wetter than normal planting conditions, cooler than normal soils and it will just be like version 2.0 from last year.

You can expect more crop losses in 2019. That purple color in the Temperature Anomaly Map is at about 16 to 20 degrees Celsius below normal, which is about 30 degrees Fahrenheit below normal.

Also this ribbon of destruction that will be passing over the entire eastern seaboard, that is the multicolored candy cane looking shape. This is where two weather fronts are going to smash into each other and as these two fronts collide and pass, you're going to get hail, thunderstorms, possible tornadoes and everything in between.
